IT Helpdesk/IT Support Specialist

We are currently seeking a dedicated IT Helpdesk/IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance support to ensure our software development team and internal users experience minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in diagnosing issues across various operating systems and network environments and will play a crucial role in keeping our IT infrastructure running smoothly.
Your Role
- Provide first-level technical support to internal employees, responding to hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
- Install, configure, and maintain company software, applications, and equipment, including laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory Domain Services, Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID.
- Monitor network performance and assist in resolving connectivity issues, escalating complex issues to the IT infrastructure team as necessary.
- Set up, maintain, and support video conferencing tools and office communication systems.
- Document and track support requests in a ticketing system, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
- Assist with IT asset inventory management, including hardware and software tracking.
- Support the onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup, access configuration.
What you bring?
- Proven experience (1+ year) in IT Helpdesk or IT Support roles, preferably within a software or technology company.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting common issues in software development environments (IDEs, version control, etc.).
- Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience resolving network connectivity issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and Google Workspace for account management and support.
- Experience using ticketing systems (such as Jira, Zendesk, or ServiceNow) for issue tracking and management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of providing clear technical guidance to non-technical users.
- Proactive attitude toward learning and staying updated on new IT tools and practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, Google Professional Workspace Administrator Certification) are a plus.
